As I painted this piece, the vibrant shapes reminded me of gumballs, sparking a sense of playfulness that remained throughout the process. The spontaneous addition of typography came from my fascination with the geometry of certain letters, influenced by the weathered charm of old signage, which I’m continually drawn to.
